“We are the healer, teacher, ancestor, and beholder of magic within us all.”

–Diandra Sarr, Founder

About Diandra

Diandra Sarr fosters support for anyone on their pregnancy journey from preconception, to birth, to abortion, to miscarriage/loss, to postpartum. As a birthworker, Diandra provides inclusive, affirming care and support to folks in their journey related to the womb including birth and labor support; postpartum; abortion and loss. Much of Diandra’s education comes from a diverse array of teachers -- her ancestors, elder plants, community members, and elders whom she holds utmost respect. Diandra’s experience with Spiritual Wellness and the Healing Arts has been all personal and intrinsically tied to her familial and cultural background. They identify as Afro-Mexican, and she grew up in a spiritual-centered community with members of her family on both maternal and paternal sides being sensitively attuned to Spirit. However, over the past 2-3 years, Diandra started reconnecting and divulging deeper into her Senegalese roots and African ancestry, which has been a painful but liberating journey. Diandra began her wellness journey in the earlier years of university. Overtime, she has grown and gone through many cycles of transition and rebirth. They are dedicated to assisting people by connecting them with the ancestral and traditional practices through her birthwork. She believes that the integration of true wellness comes with the integration of all aspects of self even the aspect we are too afraid to see and to ultimately, remember we are everything beyond what we call shadow and light.

A note on Inclusivity

Not everyone who can get pregnant or has an abortion identifies as or calls themself a woman or uses "she/her." Diandra uses "person who is pregnant'' ; "they/them" ; “the birthing person/folk.”

Beyond words, they value people creating their own identities and challenging the traditional definitions of male and female that exist in our society. Thus, she is committed to fostering practices of inclusivity and respect for all my clients, especially those coming from marginalized identities (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color)
